Journey (i) an act of traveling from one place to another; (ii) a long and often difficult process of personal change and development; (iii) an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1973.  Let the journey begin with some musical whims along the way. 

On February 26^th I fly out to Atlanta, Georgia where my journey on the Appalachian Trail begins.  The Appalachian Trail traverses 2,186 miles through 14 states, which does not account for resupplying at nearby towns. 

It is said that the average hiker takes approximately 4 to 6 months to complete the trek.  But of those who attempt, only about 30 percent complete the trail.  Join me on this adventure and future triumph.
